My Artist name, Angelica Keiskei, is the scientific name for the Japanese native plant Ashitaba. The name comes from its strong life force, which means that even if a leaf is plucked, a new leaf will grow back tomorrow.

As an artist, I take this name in the hope of creating works that are full of vitality, giving viewers the opportunity to face themselves and the energy to live their lives in their own way. I paint with all my heart so that as many people as possible can understand their own identity, believe in themselves, and willingly enjoy life.
