Born in Alexandria, Egypt, my family migrated to Australia when I was five. Interestingly one of my grandparents was a Cretan.

My work explores the human face. I am interested in asymmetry and have a fascination with African face masks. Reality is of no interest. I am drawn to bold colours like to experiment with various painting techniques. Each face I paint is formed in my imagination and manifests itself onto the canvas.
